| Bunglings in solar lights distribution in Gurez: PDP. | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Nov 2: PDP has called for streamlining the distribution of solar lights in various areas of the state especially Gurez where from reports of bungling and favouritism have come in.
In a statement the chief spokesman of the party said many people from Gurez have complained of unfair distribution of solar lights in various villages of Gurez sub division.
Bunglings have particularly been reported from Achoora, Churwan and Markoot.
The complainants have reported that the lists of eligible beneficiary were being over turned to accommodate favourites of the ruling party, whereas in some cases allegations of corruption have also been reported.
Calling for a probe into the allegations the spokesman said the govt assistance to the people was handed out as personal favours to beneficiaries by the National Conference.
This trend he said must stop and govt must ensure fair and transparent distribution of solar lights and other officially supplied materials to the people under proper guidelines.
