| Workshop on hardware assembling and networking held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Udhampur Nov 2: A three-day IT workshop on “Computer Hardware Assembling and Networking” was inaugurated here today by Tering Phuntsok IPS, Joint Director Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur.
Organised jointly by Internal Quality Assurance Cell and Dept. of Computer Science in collaboration with Jetking, the workshop is being attended by122 students of BCA, Physics and Electronics.
In his address the chief guest lauded the efforts of the college for organizing program for the academic growth of the students.
“This is the age of information technology and advanced skill in this field promise you a handsome career opportunity,” he said .
Earlier the program started with lighting the traditional lamp by the dignitaries. Principal of the college Nutan K. Resutra delivered the formal welcome address
“The college is committed to give best exposure to its students in the field of IT and starting BCA course is one such example. We intend to train all the students as efficient IT users before they leave the college,” he said.
Govind Sharma (Manager- franchise Support Region al office Delhi.) Jetking, threw light on the theme and planning of the three- day workshop.
The Inaugural session was compered by Rajni Sharma. Sudhir Singh, convener IQAC proposed the formal vote of thanks.
Today’s technical sessions focused on IT Operating systems, applying security checks, creating Virus, installing anti-virus, detecting password and using CD as Pen drive. These were conducted by Prince Gill (Networking Expert Jammu Centre), Vinod Sharma (Technical faculty) and Amit Koul (Technical faculty) under supervision of Raja Rameez Dar (Centre-Manager Jammu Centre) Jetking. Shridhu is the Co-ordinator of the workshop.
Romilla Malla, Rajesh Gupta, Udhay Bhanu, Kamal Kishore and Gagan were also present on this occasion.
