| DDC Kathua convenes public darbar at Bani | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, OCTOBER 02-To Mitigate grievances and problems of the people at their doorstep in far flung and remote areas of district Kathua Deputy Commissioner,Kathua Ms Zahida Parveen khan held an open darbar at Bani.
MLA, Bani, Mr Lal Chand Sub Divisional Magistrate,Bani Mr Rajinder Kumar, Chief Panning Officer Mr Manoj Kumar, CMO Kathua, Executive Engineers of PHE, PWD, PDD, Flood control and other district ,Tehsils officers ,Blocl Level Officers, Panches, Sarpanches and large number of people were present on the occasion.
Sarpanch Bani demanded early construction of Bani to Dhaggar road, opening of LPG Gas centre at Bani, shortage of ration, un-interrupted power supply, teaching staff in educational institution and provision of adequate drinking water supply. Besides, Sarpanch village Kanthal demanded bus service from Bani to chamba, Power Hydraulic project for Duggan block, staff in PHC and regular supply of drinking water.
Other demands included fruit Mandi in Gatti and compensation of Sarthal to Gatti Road and expeditions works under NREGA, timely supply of seeds and fertilizers to farmers, etc.
Ms instructed the concerned for early redressal of demands and complaints of the people.
The DDC directed the Chief Horticulture, Chief Agriculture Officer and District Social Welfare Officer to aware the people about various schemes launched by the state as well as central government for their betterment.
The DDC disposed off some of the cases of the people on the spot and directed the field functionaries of different departments to work with honesty and dedication to comeup to the expectations of the people.
