Ashish’s Hat-trick helps JKP Kishtwar win in Police

Kishtwar, Nov 2: Riding on a superb bowling performance by Ashish Kumar including a Hat-trick, JKP Kishtwar managed to beat Youth Cricket Club Poochal by 66 runs in ongoing T 20 Police Martyrs’ Tournament at Chowghan ground Kishtwar. After winning the toss, captain of JKP Kishtwar Veer Bhadur Vikram Singh Rathore elected to bat first. JKP team captain made his intension clear right from the start after he hit 3 fours in one over of Waseem Ahmed before he got out on 14 runs. All the batsmen of JKP Kishtwar maintain the tempo of high scoring rate and reach 100 mark in 12th over of the inning and finally manage to score 157/7 runs in 19 over’s in stipulated time. Major Jagpal contributes the maximum runs by scoring 28 runs in 20 balls in which he hits 4 fours and one 6, whereas Anil Kumar score 17 runs from 8 balls including 2 fours and one 6. Waseem Ahmed from Youth Poochal remains most successful bowler with figures of 2/15 from 2 over’s followed by 2/18 in 2 over’s from Lalit and 1/25 from Omar in 2 over’s.
While chasing the target of 158, YCC Poochal succumbs to the pressure and started losing his wickets right from the beginning and bundled out for 91 runs in 12.4 over’s. Ashish Kumar of JKP Kishtwar remains the most successful bowler with figures of 4/12 in three over’s including a Hat-trick. Other than Ashish Kumar, Sameer claimed 2/25 in 3 overs and Major Jagpal 2/28 also in 3 overs. Balwinder of YCC Poochal remains the top scorer for his team and scored 28 runs from 21 balls including 3 fours followed by Ramaiz scores 23 runs and Zahoor 13 runs respectively. Ashish Kumar was adjudged as man of the match for his brilliant bowling performance. Earlier Sawan Kumar of Youth Bunastan became the first bats in this tournament to score a century. Sawan remains not out on 107 from 54 balls against Friends Cricket Club Kishtwar.
