Jammu, November-03 :- A Division Bench of Jammu & Kashmir High Court comprising Justice JP Singh and Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir in a petition filed by Bar Association Jammu regarding the construction of lawyers’ chambers at Janipur Court Complex, allowed time sought by advocate MU Salaria Vice President BAJ appearing for the Bar Association to file objections to Committee’s Report. Division Bench allowed two weeks time as prayed for.
Sr. advocate DC Raina appearing for the JKPCC assured that requisite steps would be taken by the Corporation to see that the construction of lawyers’ chambers was completed at the earliest, upon this the Division Bench directed Sr. advocate DC Raina to file status report by the next date of hearing.

Court denies bail to Inter-State Narco Smugglers
Jammu, November-03 (JNF):- Additional Sessions Judge Jammu RN Wattal today rejected the bail application of Inter-State Narco Smugglers who were arrested by the police on October 16, 2011.
According to the APP Vijay Kumar Sharma the accused were apprehended by police and a huge quantity of charas was recovered from them . Possession of charas is a heinous crime which carries punishment of 20 years imprisonment and fine.
While rejecting the bail of the accused persons namely Mohd Yousaf Mir s/o Abdul Kabir s/o Adbul Kabir Mir r/o Dopetyar, Bijbehara, Abdul Kabir Sheikh s/o Abdul Gani Sheikh r/o Andheri Mumbai and Garesh Kumar Verma s/o Swami Nath Verma r/o Gram Post Malari, UP, Additional Sessions Judge Jammu RN Wattal after hearing APP VK Sharma for the State and advocate MD Shawl for the petitioners observed that use of drug paralyzes the addict. . Moreover the offences in which the petitioners are involved are serious and severe in nature and its ramifications in the society are grave, therefore, the petitioners do not deserve the concession of bail at this stage when the chargesheet is yet to be produced against the petitioners. With these observations Court rejected the bail of inter-state Narco Smugglers. ‘’
