| HC directs Director CAPD to appear in person | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, November-03:- Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir of J&K High Court in a contempt petition filed by one Shabir Ahmed Vs Pervaz Ahmed Malik & Ors directed Parvez Ahmed Malik Director Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution to appear in the Court in person.
Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir heard advocate AM Malik appearing for the petitioner and perused the order dated September 26, 2011. Notice was directed to be served upon respondent NO 1 (Director CAPD) in terms of the judgment dated September 17, 2010 whereby the respondents were directed to pass final orders within 15 days on the basis of enquiry conducted against the petitioner and thereafter the petitioner was to be informed in writing about the decision. The Court took serious note and observed that more than one year has lapsed but for the respondents 15 days time has not elapsed and directed Director CAPD Jammu to appear in person on November 14, 2011.
