Civil Sectt to reopen at Jammu on Nov 9

JAMMU, Nov 3:
The Civil Secretariat will re-open at its winter Capital Jammu on November 9 at 9.30 AM.
This was stated by Commissioner/ Secretary to Government, General Administration Department, Mohammad Sayeed Khan, while chairing a meeting of officers at Civil Sectt, convened to review the arrangements being made by Estates department in the winter capital today. He said that 7th and 8th of November being Gazetted holidays on account of Id-ul- Azha, the Civil Secretariat shall start functioning with effect from November 9, 2011.
On this day some inaugurations will also take place, Sayeed added. He also reviewed all preparatory arrangements including cleanliness, white washing, power supply, functioning of NIC/IT connectivity and restoration of telephones etc. He directed the Estates department to complete all necessary arrangements before November 6, 2011.
The officers of Estates department assured the Commissioner/ Secretary that all the necessary arrangements would be made well before the re-opening of the civil Secretariat. He said work is being carried out on war footing.
He further directed that every record should be placed at its right place.
Later Sayeed inspected the renovation works being carried out in the Civil Secretariat by the Estates department. He inspected all halls and corridor and the five halls which have been upgraded and modernized.
Among others Special Secretary GAD, GC Chib, Deputy Director Estates, Dr Arun Manhas, Executive Engineer, Estates, Rashid Mustafa were present on the occasion.
