| IMPA organizes RTI awareness programme | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Nov 3:The Institute of Management and Public Administration (IMPA), J&K organised a training programme on J&K Right To Information Act 2009 with the objective to sensitize officers about various sections of the Act ,to discuss the role of senior officers , including PIOs and APIOs, besides the issues related to implementation of RTI here today at the conference hall of DC office complex.
DDC Kathua, Zahida Khan, on the occasion, asked the officers to follow the provisions of the Act in true spirit. She asked the officers to set their records right in a manner that RTI applications could be disposed off in an efficient and quick manner.
On the occasion, lectures were delivered by Dr. Sunita Zalpuri and Dr. Rachna Dutt, which were supplemented by presentations, case studies, followed by an interaction session.
RTI activist Balvinder Singh and Raman Sharma of Sangharsh group also shared their experience with regard to the problems faced by the RTI applicants on the ground. They appealed all the PIOs to respond to the RTI applicants.
ADC Kathua Ajay Singh Jamwal, CPO Kathua, ACR and various other district officers participated in the training programme.
