| DIET organizes district level seminar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Nov 3:A District Level Science Seminar on the topic “Science in the context of International year of chemistry 2011” was organized by District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Kud, Udhampur at Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School, Udhampur here on Thursday.
Principal Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School, Udhampur Rash Pal Singh was the chief guest, where as HOD DIET Sunil Sharma presided over the function.
Teachers from all eleven zones of district Udhampur took part in the seminar.
Renu Bala, Teacher Govt. Middle School Majalta, Zone Majalta was adjudged best in the district level competition. She was selected for provisional level competition to be held in the month of December, 2011 at State Institute of Education.
Singh stressed upon the participants to organize the seminar on the topic in their respective school so as to develop scientific temper among the students. He issued certificates of achievement and participation among the participants.
Among others, HOD DIET Kud , Sarita Rani, Lecturer DIET Kud, Surinder Kumar, Lecturer Rajeshwer Sharma, Lecturer Rashi Gupta and staff of the host school were present on the occasion.
