| CIC operating in dilapidated room | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kathua, Nov 3: The constructed CIC building in the premises of Block Development Office Kathua has not been handed over to CIC office till date while the CIC is operating in dilapidated room in the block.
In 2004 the Govt. of India launched in Jammu and Kashmir a pilot project with the collaboration of National Informatics Centre named as Community Information Centre (CIC) after its successful consequences in north east states of India.
The main objective of this pilot project is to establishment and strengthening of e-governance to make the effective and result oriented administration at grass root level and to spread the computer and internet awareness among the rural masses of the state.
So to make it efficiently functional the CIC buildings block level were constructed but the CIC building in Kathua BDO block is still not been used for the CIC purpose which tastes the dust and rust.
While the CIC is functioning in worse and broken ordinary room in the premises of the BDO Kathua which has raised many question after being spend near about more than 10 lac of rupees on this building which is remain unused and meaningless till date.
In this context the district administration and so called social workers, politicians and general masses that can be seen to waste their valuable time in unproductive matters and issues never seemed to take any serious notice on this wastage of 10lacs of rupees of this building
