| Sofi expresses concern over power failure, condemns police lathi charge | | | JAMMU JAN-06
MLC and President District Congress Committee Srinagar Ali Mohammed Sofi has expressed concern over the failure of power supply in Chattabal and adjoining villages of Srinagar district and condemned the police lathi charge on the inhabitants of the area who were protesting for power supply in a peaceful manner.
In a statement Sofi said that the power supply in Chattabal, Khanbari, Patlipore and Balapine area of Srinagar district has been disrupted for the last fortnight putting people to great inconvenience in these chilly days and urged the government to immediately restore the supply in the affected areas. He has also condemned the police lathi on the peaceful demonstration, a party handout said.
