EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 04: Two-day State Yoga Championship, organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Yoga Association, started today at the premises of Handa College of Education, here. The opening day witnessed competition in all age groups of boys and girls as also senior categories. Earlier, the competition was declared open by chairman of the Handa College of Education, Veena Handa. Among others presented were Dr Vikram Handa, Dr Ashutosh Sharma and Deepak Handa. About 35 participants drawn from district Jammu, Rajouri, Reasi and Udhampur are taking part in this competition. Meanwhile, according to the organizers, the winners of this competition shall represent the state in the forthcoming national championship to be held at Karnataka from November 30 to December three. The Results: BOYS: 8-12 yrs: Tarun Kumar, Ist, Mitesh Jamwal, 2nd and Sahil Malpotra, 3rd. 12-17 yrs: Sidharth Balhotra, Ist; Sadam Hussain, 2nd and Ankleshwar Manhas, 3rd. 17-21 yrs: Sahil Mehra, Ist and Ranjit Singh, 2nd. GIRLS: 8-12 yrs: Harshita Sharma, Ist; Muskaan Rajput, 2nd and Anu Sharma, 3rd. 12-17 yrs: Pooja Gupta, Ist; Shikha Chib, 2nd and Kamlesh Kumari, 3rd. MEN: 21-25 yrs: Vishal Kumar, Ist and Aman Sambyal, 2nd. 25-35 yrs: Mukesh Sharma, Ist.
