IRP 17th Bn organizes Police-Public meet

JAMMU, NOVEMBER 04- To encourage the poor students, the IRP 17th Bn of J&K Police Commended by SP Mohd. Amin Khan organized a meet at Government High School Chowadi, Jammu here today under Civic Action Programme (CAP)-2011 and distributed Computers with all accessories, Sports equipments, Volley Ball,Net Football, Rackets, Carrom Board, Cricket Kit, Badminton, Ropes, uniforms for boys and girls from Class 1st to 10th and note books to all the students of the school.
In his inaugural speech, the Commandant said that the teachers should put in their sincere efforts in shaping the personality of the students to enable them to face the challenges in the present world of competition because the teachers are the main architect who develops and shapes the personality of the students. Further the Commandant interacted with the boys/girls alongwith the staff of the school and people of the area and explained the objectives of holding of such meet.
The function was attended among others by CEO Jammu Mr. Natha Ram, Headmaster of the School Mrs. Sunita Rani, Sarpanch Mr. Asgar Choudhary, Panch Chowadi Mr. Shahdin, Ex Panch Chowadi Mr. Ram Chand, Lamberdar Mr. Padam Sing and prominent citizens of the area.
On the occasion, Mrs. Sunita Rani thanked the police department especially to the Commandant IRP 17th Bn for selecting the School in one of the remote/Kandi area where 175 students both male and female are studying. She further stressed that this effort of the Police department will go a long way in shaping the career of the students and strengthening the Police-Public Relation.

CA&PD realizes Rs. 10,000 from traders
GOOL, NOV-04, 2011:- In a continuous drive to protect consumers interests, an inspection team headed by Tehsil Supply Officer, Gool, Mr. Abdul Rasid, inspected the various commercial establishments at different places in Gool to protect the consumers against over charging, quality of eatables and other unfair trade practices being adopted by the traders, especially during the festival season.
Niab Tehsildar, BMO and SHO, Gool accompanied him.
An amount of Rs 10,000/- had been recovered from the traders of the area as fine for violation of essential commodity act.
Further, TSO has directed the traders to use only verified weighing instruments, ensure quality of eatables and to sell the packages with mandatory declarations of MRP, net weight packed, complete address of the manufacturer and packer along with the consumer help line number
