Protests over new recruitment policy continue for 4th day

JAMMU, Nov 4:The students’ as well as political organisations across Jammu region continued their protest against new recruitment policy formulated by the State Government for the fourth consecutive day on Friday.
National Panthers Students Union (NPSU) today held strong protest demonstration at Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar and Government Polytechnic College,
Bikram Chowk, Jammu against government’s new recruitment policy.
Earlier, the students of GCW Gandhi Nagar boycotted the classes under the banner of NPSU and carried out a protest march from their college to Bikram Chowk, Jammu University (JU) gate, back to Bikram Chowk and culminated their procession at GCW Gandhi Nagar.
Raising anti-government and anti NC-Congress slogans, more than 500 female students of GCW Gandhi Nagar boycotted their classes and marched towards Bikram Chowk where police personnel tried to stop their march but they could not prevent the march of NPSU from reaching JU gate.
After holding a dharna for half an hour’s they came back to Bikram Chowk, they held a massive dharna for another half an hour and then moved towards their college where this march was culminated.
Monika Sharma (President GCW Gandhi Nagar), Preeti Chib, Anu Radha Bhagat, Supriya Jamwal, Nisha Kundan and Arpana Rajput under whose leadership the protest was held.
Speaking on the occasion, they lambasted the state government for its totally anti-students and anti-youth policies in the J&K state.
The students said that the present government has failed at each and every corner but still the people of J&K state are forced to carry the burden of this totally defunct and failed government.
Vikram Partap Singh (Provincial Secy. Gen. NPSU), Rohit Kumar (District president NPSU) and Ashwani Balloria said that on one hand MLAs and ministers of the state hiked their salaries almost double during last assembly session in Jammu unanimously through a still introduce in assembly and on the other they are mentally harassing the youth and students of J&K by bringing such new requirement policy in the J&K state.
Meanwhile, the students of the Govt. Polytechnic College, Bikram Chowk, Jammu also boycotted their classes under the banner of NPSU and held a massive protest demonstration at the main gate of the college.
Youth of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Movement also held a protest against new recruitment policy.
Addressing the protesters, chairman YJKL Suresh Ajay Magotra said that it is a move to explore adhoc culture in all services of the state government which will result in the increase of corruption and militancy in the state. This policy is against youth, anti-social and counterproductive. Omar’s government is not just spoiling the future of the youth and the State but also making the present of the educated youngster dark. We want to know the fake partial logic behind this policy. On one side those who are drawing lakhs of rupees as salary while sitting in Assembly and also spoiling the future of the state.
This YJKL movement is not for personal interests of anybody but is wholly connected with the every family of the state. So we hope that everyone should come out of his or her nook and corner to fight against this injustice.

A large number of students of Kathua took out a massive procession under the banner of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad to lodge their protest against new recruitment rule.
A processing led by ABVP activists was taken out which started from Govt. Hr. Sec. School (Boys) Kathua and culminated at Shaheedi Chowk. The students raised anti- Omar Abdullah slogans.
On the occasion the district president ABVP Rahul Sharma said that this new recruitment rule is a mockery and a step to darken the future of youth. He said that coalition regime has no sympathy with the youth and deliberately putting their lives on stake.
Students of Government Degree College Kishtwar also observed complete strike over the new recruitment policy announced by Omar Abdullah led coalition government. As soon as the students assembled inside the college premises for routine class work, leaders of NSUI, student wing of Congress party called for strike and with in no time student boycotted the class work and condemned recruitment policy announced by the government. The students who held a protest under the leadership of
NSUI activist Waseem Saroori inside the college premises demand for immediate withdrawal of new policy and questioned the government intention towards the unemployed youths. When contacted, Waseem Saroori said that even though NSUI is the part of Congress party which is a coalition government and said that they have the right to oppose each and every decision of the government. He said that new recruitment policy is totally against the youths of the state.
The founder of Nature-Mankind Friendly Global Movement former power minister Babu Singh strongly condemned the brutal police action on the peaceful agitation of the students in Jammu. Singh said, one side the state coalition government has brought most dangerous and anti youth recruitment rule to crush the future of the youth and other side using the police force to snub their democratic right of demonstration which seemed that the rule of undemocratic tendency is there unfortunately. Babu Singh said that this new anti youth anti poor people new recruitment rule is not the good step of this Omar led Govt. due to this rule the level of frustration and resentment among the already frustrated youth would be added more which is not the sign of a wise and good governance.
Private School Teachers Association, Udhampur vice president Shekhar said today that the new employment policy is mockery with the educated with we the unemployed youth of the state. He further said that in the present senior it is not possible for an govt. employee to look after his family with in the proposed salary structure. In future the state have to face worst consequences because the youth will feel insecure and inferiority complex and it will lead to increase the corrupt practices due to which the general public will be in loss and the chances of brain drain would create inefficiency in the public sector.
Kranti Dal today called a meeting to demand revocation of Govt. new recruitment policy. The meeting was chaired by Pritam Sharma, general secretary, Kranti Dal.
In the meeting, Pritam Sharma said that the present recruitment policy
is anti-youth, anti –social, anti-human and is devised to give prominence to higher serving staff.
Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) has demanded immediate withdrawal of the fresh recruitment policy by his Govt which has created unrest among the youth and the people of the state of all the three regions.
President JWAM Sunil Dimple threatened that we will call for Jammu bandh soon in case the Govt did not revoke its recruitment policy by November 15.
