| 228 cases decided at Lok Adalat | | |
Jammu, January 6
Two hundred twenty eight cases were decided and over Rs.56, 000 realized as fine at the Lok-Adalat held here today under the Chairmanship of Mr. Janak Raj Kotwal, Chairman, District Legal Service Authority/ Principal District and Sessions Judge Jammu.
Mr Janak Raj Kotwal Principal District and Sessions Judge Jammu assisted by Mr. Hari Om Singh Additional District Judge Bank cases Jammu and Ashok Kumar Koul 2nd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu took up 12 matrimonial cases and settled three cases. While another bench headed by Mr. RK Wattal Sub-Judge Jammu and assisted by Sandeep Kour 3rd Additional Munsiff, took up cases pertaining to Municipal Court. Out of 142 cases taken up 85 cases were settled in which Rs 11,900 fine was realized.
The other Bench headed by Mr. Sanjay Parihar Special Municipal Magistrate Jammu assisted by Kamlesh Pandita Munsiff Jammu took up 195 traffic cases and settled 59 cases in which Rs 6050/- were realized as fine.
The bench led Mr. Pawan Dev Kotwal City Judge Jammu and assisted by Mr. Jatinder Singh Jamwal Special Electricity Magistrate Jammu, decided 35 cases out of 152 cases pertaining to passenger tax and criminal cases and realized a fine Rs 29,700/-
Mr. Madan Lal Special Mobile Magistrate Passenger Tax/Shops Act Jammu assisted by Mr. MR Chak Forest Magistrate, took up challans of Traffic department and settled 46 in which Rs 8550/- was realized as fine.
