| The towering persona lity of bollywood Big B has impressed me like anybody else but his classic performance in movies like Anand, Sarkar, Black, Paa and Bagwaan put me in a state of mind where there does not exist any point of doubt regarding his un-matching talent. But still I was never a very big fan of Amitabh Bachchan till recently when a Sushil Kumar from Bihar became winner of 5 crores this week. Kudos to Sushil Kumar, a tutor living in almost rags and the real story of Sushil Kumar becoming crorepati from rags is the real success story of a young man who has been a die hard fan of Amitabh Bachchan. It may sound pointless to express here my personal views on Amitabh Bachchan. But viewers of KBC must have seen spontaneous expression of humanity, serenity and internal happiness embodied together when he hugged Sushil Kumar on his success. Those moments were very precious catch of camera speaking volumes about the personality known as Amitabh Bachchan. This was quite a rare expression seen on the face of celebrity who has always been on the receiving end. It appeared revered God himself personified and was present on the hot seat when Big B jumped over to give a very special close and spiritual hug to Sushil Kumar.
I long to see this expression on the face of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who happens to be sitting on the Hot Seat of the country but smiling only when he musters support for his corrupt colleagues influencing their favourites with CWG, 2G and global benefits and see dear Rahul Baba performing (non-performing) as future king of the country. Reddened high cheek bones of Dr. Manmohan Singh become flexible when his precious Rahul or Soniaji are appreciated. I also long to see this expression on the faces of father and son duo-Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah, who seem more happy when entire family in the capacity of either Rajya Sabha Member, Lok Sabha Member, Chief Minister and the Union Minister very dynamically are seen playing Golf, attend inaugural functions, roam around in hi-tech bullet proof vehicles or make frequent air trips at the cost of state exchequer and found very excited making brutal use of police force on the common public demanding their legitimate democratic rights. It has become a common sight on the roads of Jammu and Kashmir when unemployed youth and the students are lathi-charged their crime being that they were protesting against wrong decisions of Congress-NC led coalition government. The recent lathi charge / cane charge on the peace loving people who only want full pay for the jobs, arrears out of the Sixth Pay Commission, better roads, un-interrupted power supply etc. seem expression of feudal mind set of the rulers. The common people also protest against the communal utterances often made by incompetent, immature Chief Minister and latest unnatural death of party activist within the very premises of the official residence of Chief Minister himself. This cruel attitude of the government is bonus showered by none else than Rahul Gandhi, who is aspiring to become future PM of the country. One can imagine the fate of the country if the wishes of some insane minds become horses. Youth should not be the criteria to hold highest coveted post. Youth has much to perform in various other capacities. Wisdom comes with maturity and maturity comes with age. Omar as Chief Minister has ruined the state further and the country requires to be protected before it falls in the hands of armatures. It depends upon the collective wisdom of the people of the country, who have become aware about the hard fact that India is certainly doing very well at global level and that India belongs to top 20 and the bitter truth that not the billion plus population of the country. To lead the billion plus population of the country, to make them prosper and to make them feel Indian by living in India, where their basic necessities are fully met, a mature leader is required. This is possible only when one on the giving end is an embodiment of serenity, humanity and becomes happy by seeing around billion inhabitants more happier.
While passing by the University and Canal Roads, where two premier educational institutions are located, I found heavy police force lace with lathis, deployed to pounce on any youth or any body coming on the way of government's obnoxious, ill-conceived policies for the common people as well feudal style of functioning. The sight was terrifying. The government has always justified brutal use of lathis on peraceful protestors demanding their legitimate rights on the pretext of paucity of funds. On the contrary, administration's own lavish life style do not reflect such financial crunch.
Any way, I don't know when I will reach home covering the distance which in normal course of time takes only 15 minutes as I am sure that by the time I cross the fly-over entire bridge might be jammed with traffic and tomorrow's newspapers again will narrate the probable lathi-charge on the protesting students for their genuine rights. Meanwhile, I am searching for the answers to the questions-why govern-ment's attitude is so oppressive? Why wise men in government are framing anti-people policies? Why those in power have built up high walls around their brains ?How, I wish the serenity which was apparent on the face of Big B believing that face is the index of mind, could also be in the hearts of the ruling clouts of the government, who have brought the state under sever crisis.
