12 killed, 47 hurt in road mishaps | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, Nov 5 (KNS): Atleast 12 people died and 47 others were injured in separate road accidents across Kashmir on Saturday. Police said a bus (JK01B/3880) fell into a gorge while on way from Zanaskar to Kargil near Panzila, Kargil, resulting in on the spot death of eleven passengers and injuries to 38. All the injured were shifted to Kargil and Zanaskar hospitals for treatment. In a separate accident a Sumo (JK05/6138) collided with a Tata Mobile load carrier (JK05/3101) at Poshwar Colony, Nowshera, Baramulla injuring eight persons. All the injured were shifted to hospital, where in Saja Begum, 55, wife of Abdul Ahmad Bhat of Nowshera succumbed to her injuries. A case has been registered in this regard. A Maruti Van (JK02B/2433) hit a scooter (JK01E/7432) near G B Panth Hospital here injuring Scooterist Mushtaq Ahmad Gojri, 24, son of Ghulam Nabi of Batwara, Srinagar. He was shifted to SMHS hospital here where he succumbs to his injures. An unidentified vehicle hit and injured Farooq Ahmad Khan, 50, son of Ghulam Ahmad of Karhama, Tangmarg at Mustafa Abad, HMT here. The injured was shifted to hospital.
