Book Exhibition held at MIER College of Education | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Nov 5: A book exhibition was organized by the library committee of MIER College of Education with the aim of developing a taste for good books. About 800 books were exhibited on the various subjects like research, special education, religion, women education etc. Some general books, encyclopedias and books written by foreign authors were also displayed. The exhibition was inaugurated by Renu Gupta, director MIER Group of Institutions. Speaking on the occasion, she emphasized that books are the most treasured possession of a teacher and the teacher trainees must inculcate the habit of extensive reading. Other distinguished guests and prominent personalities present on the occasion were joint director Adit Gupta, Surinder Kaur, B.L. Raina, Annie Koul, and Rajendra Praveen. All the faculty members were also present on the occasion. Later, the exhibition was thrown open for all the students of B Ed, B Ed Special Education (MR) and M Ed classes of the college who showed keen interest in the books displayed and shared their views with the faculty members regarding the relevance and importance of the books.
