Assam bundles-out J&K for 184 runs in CK Nayudu | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 5: Despite a fighting knock of 53 runs by All-rounder Vishwajeet Singh, the equally balanced Assam bundled-out J&K for a paltry total of 184 runs in the first innings of 4-day match of CK Nayudu Under-22 Cricket Tournament at Gawahati today. As per the reports reaching here, batting first, J&K lost wickets at regular intervals and the whole side collapsed at meagre 184 runs. Apart from Vishwajeet Singh Chib, Ambidextrous All-rounder Manik Gupta contributed well made 25 runs. Not many of the rest of the batsmen could cross the double figure mark. In reply, Assam was struggling at 2 for the loss of one wicket at stumps on day-one. For J&K, off-spinner Amir Mehraj claimed the lone wicket to fell. It is pertinent to mention here that J&K in the last two matches played this season inflicted follow-on to Vidharbha and secured three points by virtue of first innings lead at Nagpur and lost to Goa by virtue of first innings lead at Srinagar. Shubam Khajuria, Manik Gupta and Owais Shah have shined in this championship so far this season.
