| CBI held AG office accountant with graft | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 5:Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a senior Accountant posted at Accountant General Office, Srinagar, for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 7,500.
“Mehraj son of Assistant Sub Inspector, lodged complaint with CBI Srinagar that he was being harassed by the senior accountant M K Sadhu on one pretext or the other and finally the latter demanded bribe to settle the pension case of Mehraj’s father,” sources said.
On the basis of the complaint a trap was laid by CBI sleuths and accordingly the accountant was arrested red handed. A case in this connection has been registered with the CBI office, Srinagar and further investigation taken up.
