| Mir Iqbal Hussain Memorial Coca Cola Inter-School Trophy | | BSF Paloura drubs DBN 2-0, enters QF | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 5: Riding on superb soccer skills displayed by the duo of Koushal George and Gourav Koshik, the BSF School Paloura trounced DBN School Canal Road by two goals to nil (2-0) to enter the quarterfinals of the ongoing Mir Iqbal Hussain Coca Cola Inter-School Football Trophy, organised by Jammu and Kashmir Football Association at Science College Football Ground, here. Other four teams, which have been given direct entry into the quarterfinals, are MHAC Nagbani, KC Public School, JK Public and DPS Jammu.
Earlier, Koshal George netted the first goal in the 12th minute of the game, while Gourav Koshik scored the second goal in the 25th minute to get the early lead and the duo along with other members of the team succeeded in defending their side for rest of the match, to register a convincing win by 2-0.
In second match of the day, Alexander Memorial Public School also registered an easy 2-0 win over Jyoti Bal Bhawan School as Flavious Gill and Aston Sandhu scored for the winners in 12th and 22nd minute of the match, while in other encounter, DPS Katra prevailed over Ashoka Academy, Jammu by three goals to two (3-2).
In today’s 4th match, Rainbow Public School blanked GD Goenka by seven goals to nil (7-0). Atul Mehra scored a splendid hat-trick by netting goals in 2nd, 3rd and 6th minute of the match, while the other four goals were shared by Ravi Bhadur and Neeraj Bhadur, who scored two goals each. Ravi scored goals in 10th and 32nd minute while Neeraj did it in 15th and 38th minute of the match.
In the fifth and last match of the day, KV Nagrota defeated Gurmukh Kanya Patshalla by 4-0. Devashish Sharma was the main scorer with two goals, scoring them in 5th and 6th minute of the match.
The matches were officiated by Moon Stephen, Deepak Sangral, Rajesh Kumar, Pankaj, Danny, Davian and Yousuf Don.
