31 valuable lives lost in Doda –Kargil, | NCP demands resignation of transport minister and traffic officials | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Nov 6: The biggest road tragedy struck in Doda and Kargil which has shocked the entire state losing 31 precious lives and left more than 50 injured . State NCP demands resignation of concerned minister and traffic officials who are responsible for allowing old mini buses on all routes belonging to political leaders. Former Minister Thakur Randhir Singh NCP chief J&K state said that successive govts have forsaken the hill people of erstwhile Doda District where more than 5000 people lost their valuable lives and more than that have suffered from grievous permanent injuries . Singh demanded criminal cases to be registered against the officials and bus owners and to be tried by the fast track courts and demanded Rs 15 lakhs compensation for the deceased and Rs 5 Lakh compensation for the injured and job for the children of victims who have lost their lives. Singh demanded special treatment outside the state for victims who are seriously injured. Former minister condemned the state govt not to have a special Ortho Hospital in Batote area which people have been demanding for last 30 years . Singh alongwith other senior NCP leaders visited the Govt Medical College Hospital and meet the victims.
