| J&K fencers win 2 bronze medals in Jr national | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 6: The Jammu and Kashmir boys team has won two bronze medals in the recently concluded Junior National Fencing Championship at Cuttack in Odisha.
In the sabre team event—Javed Ahmed, Vishal Thapar, Sushant Kumar and Koushal Sharma displayed extra-ordinary fencing skills and clinched bronze medal for the state, while in individual sabre event, Javed Ahmed gave excellent performance to bag bronze.
Meanwhile, three fencers from the state namely Vishal Thappar, Javed Ahmed and Gursharan Singh have been selected for the coaching camp of Junior Commonwealth Fencing Championship scheduled to be held at New Jersey (U.K) in February 2012.
International fencers Rashid Ahmed and Ajay Singh accompany the team as coach and manager respectively.
