“Legalizing corruption is only noticeable achievements of NC led regime”
Coalition failed to bring transparency, accountability in Govt: PDP

JAMMU, Nov 7:Lambasting National Conference led coalition regime for its failure to bring transparency and accountability in the administration, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today observed that legalizing corruption and nepotism was the only noticeable achievement of the three year tenure of regime headed by Omar Abdullah.
Addressing public meetings at Miran Sahib and Simbal camp areas of R S Pura assembly segment, PDP leaders regretted that during the last three years corruption has crossed all limits and ruling party was itself involved in encouraging corruption. They especially mentioned towards murder of NC worker Haji Yousuf and said that the incident has exposed prevailing corruption in the government as well as in the ruling party.
They further said that the present dispensation has betrayed people of Jammu and Kashmir because all promises made with the people during the Assembly elections remained on papers. He remarked that during the three year this government has failed to even connect itself with the common masses but to say of solving problems of the people.
Calling upon the party workers to educate the people about the misdeeds of this regime, PDP leaders said that Government was neck deep in corruption from top to bottom and leaders of the ruling party have been brazenly indulged in accumulating huge wealth by misusing their position.
They further regretted that common masses in the state have been struggling with number of problems but the members of the ruling coalition have been using state resources for their personal comforts.
Pointing towards again starting of backdoor appointment in the government jobs, they cautioned that such type of steps would be proved disastrous for the State because alienation among unemployed youth has been increasing.
Former Minister and veteran leader Rangil Singh, Trilok Singh Bajwa, Thakur Balbir Singh, Ved Mahajan, Shanti Devi and other leaders addressed the gatherings.
