Eid-ul-Azha celebrated with great fervour across state

JAMMU, Nov 7:Eid-ul-Azha was celebrated with religious fervor and gaiety in Jammu region with thousands of Muslims thronging the different Eid-gahs.
In Jammu, the biggest congregation was seen at Eid-gah Residency road where thousands of Muslims offered Eid Namaz.
Auqaf administration has made adequate arrangements for people who offered namaz at Eidgah Residency road.
Besides the offering of special Eid prayers, exchange of sweets and hugs were the other highlights of the celebrations of Eid-ul-Azha in the winter capital.
Tight security arrangements were also made across the winter capital and in outskirts for smooth and peaceful celebrations of the festival.
Roadside bazaars sprang up to woo shoppers with mutton, poultry, bakery products, sweets, readymade garments and toys.A large number of people of Muslim community offered Eid Namaz at Jamia Masjid Talab Khatikan, Eidgah Narwal, Jamia Masjid Kachhi Chawani, Sidhra, Bhatindi and other mosques of city. Political Advisor to Chief Minister Davinder Rana, MLC Ajay Sadhotra, Ex-Deputy Chief Minister Mangat Ram Sharma, Divisional Commissioner Jammu Dr. Pawan Kotwal, Deputy Commissioner Jammu Sanjeev Verma, leaders of various political and social organizations had also reached Eidgah Residency Road to greet the Muslims on the occasion of Eid.
At least 20000 people in Kishtwar District offered Eid Nimaz at historic Chowghan ground Kishtwar.peoples including children’s from different parts of Kishtwar District and its adjoining areas like Matta, Sarkoot, Poochal, Trigham, Dool, Hatta, Chatroo and Nagsinie reach Kishtwar early morning and participated in Eid Nimaz. On this occasion special prayers were offered for those who got killed in accidents across Chenab region. The prayers were also offered in favour of those who died this year, besides in favour of those who were under treatment in various hospitals.
Immam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar Farooq Ahmed Kichloo also offered special prayers for libration of Jammu and Kashmir from India.District Administration and police have made an elaborated security arrangements to keep check an eye on mischievous elements.
