NHPC day celebrated

JAMMU, Nov 7: The employees of Dulhasti Power Station, Pakal-Dul/ Bursar & Kwar & Kiru HE projects celebrated NHPC Day jointly today with great fervour and enthusiasm in the premises of Kendriya Vidyalaya Kishtwar. A large number of employees and their families took part in the celebrations.
Rajeev Hustu, General Manager, NHPC Limited who was also Chief Guest on the occasion first inaugurated NHPC Fete in the adjoining ground and later inaugurated the Programme along with D K Dhar and Ajay Mathur, Chief Engineers in traditional way by lighting the lamp.
Speaking on this occasion General Manager highlighted the achievements of the corporation since its inception. While appreciating the hard work being put in by the Engineers and employees for exceeding generation target during the year 2010-11 by 243 Million Units and said that against the targeted generation of 1980.11 Million Units during 2011-12 till date the power Station has generated 1805.10 Million units. General Manager, expressed that as their commitment towards development of the area, under CSR-CD programme, during the year 2010-11 an expenditure of Rs 84.5 lakh has been incurred on various developmental works in and around Power Stations. The Kendriya Vidyalaya/Nursery School student’s later-on presented well-composed cultural programme, which was applauded by the audience. On this occasion a lucky draw comprising attractive gifts was also arranged. In the adjoining ground eatables/food stalls/ were put up at the venue by CISF & NHPC Staff wherein delightful and delicious dishes were served on payment.
In addition games stalls/Dry Canteen stalls were also put up by CISF wherein various enjoyable games were open for prizes in return. Prizes were distributed to the winners of Lucky Draw and games by Rajeev Hustu, General Manager, Ajay Mathur Chief Engineer and D K Dhar, CE Pakal Dul Project.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks presented by.Om Parkash Sr. Manager (HR).
