| NHPC Raising day celebrated | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 7:NHPC Limited celebrated its 37th raising day with great pomp and show here today at its office complex at Narwal.
OP Thakur, Executive Director, Regional Office, Jammu presided over the function as Chief Guest. The programme started by lighting a lamp by Thakur. Welcome address was given by Sanjay Sarbhoy, Chief (HR).
OP Thakur, Executive Director in his inaugural address on the occasion congratulated the employees and briefed about the achievements of NHPC Limited during the last 36 years. He also spoke about the status of various projects across the state of J&K like Nimoo Bazgo, Chutak & Uri, likely to come up shortly.
Thakur further said that for the half year ended September 30, NHPC Limited has earned Net Profit of Rs 1,757.52 as against Rs 1,227.6 crore earned during corresponding period of the previous financial year, thereby registering an increase of 43.17%.
