Ashok Khajuria, while speaking on the significance of party’s four yatras taken simultaneously from Hiranagar, Paddar, Samba and Poonch, said that the corruption, black money and price-rise are the issues which have shaken the whole nation and the BJP is reaching out the masses to educate them that it is the Congress-led UPA at the Centre which is responsible for all this. Besides this, the NC-Congress coalition in the state too is responsible for the miseries of the masses. He said that it is indeed unfortunate that the refugees from West Pakistan have not been granted citizenship rights. Those from PoK are agitating for the compensations. The refugees of 1965 and 71 have not been adequately rehabilitated. He said that the successive Kashmir-centric governments have continuously neglected these categories of refugees, which once again exposes their resolve to address the genuine demands of refugees. Chander Prakash Ganga said that the rural population in Jammu province is living under very unhygienic conditions as their areas lack clean drinking water, good dispensaries/ health centres with inadequate medical staff. Continuing with “Jan Jagran Yatra”, BJP National Executive Member & MLA Jugal Kishore Sharma, alongwith State secretary Vibodh Gupta, addressed public at Lamberi, Dandesar, Nowshera, Bajnova and Bhawani areas falling under Nowshera tehsil. Jugal Kishore Sharma said that the living conditions of the people in these areas speaks volumes about narrow, neglectfully and discriminatory attitude of state government toward their well being as majority of them are the refugees from West Pakistan. These helpless refugees have been demanding right similar to enjoyed by other citizens but have been denied the same because of their being living in Jammu province. Besides, nationalist Muslim are also the inhabitants of these areas, who too have been discriminated and ignored. It is indeed unfortunate that the coalition government of NC-Congress gives weightage to the anti-national elements and the patriotic people have to suffer for their loyalty the nation. He said that the government should work in a manner which sends clear message that every region, every religion, every community, every social class and every citizen is equal before it and that it is committed for justice to all. Vibodh Gupta said that the people of Nowshera are feeling betrayed as their elected representative of National conference has miserably failed to keep any of his pre-election promises. Today the Jan Jagran Yatra of Kathua-Udhampur-Reasi circuit led by BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas today passed through Rang, Kolanta, Satayari, Majodi, Gandh-top, Bansantpur, Duddu, Latti, Pandol, Marothi, Sudh-Mahadev, Chenani. The yatra was hugely welcomed by the public who had turned out in large number at every stop. The largely attended public rallies at all the stops of the Yatra were indicative of the public anger and dis-satisfaction with coalition government at both state and Central level. In his addresses at various public rallies, Shamsher Singh Manhas focussed on the various scams of the government at both state and central level. He cited the example of expenditure of 75 crores of rupees on IWDP scheme in Ramnagar area while as there is nothing on the ground to show and justify such an huge spending. The condition of Ramnagar, Duddu Basantgarh road in so pathetic that even a robust vehicle cannot make more than ten kms in an hour on it.
