EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Nov 8: Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust has described allegations leveled by Shree Sanatan Dharam Sahba, Jammu against it, published under caption “ Dharmarth Trust constructing building over S.D. land without consideration” as ‘ wild and unfounded’ .
Clearing the report , President of the Trust, Thakur Divakar Singh said that the Trust is constructing a beautiful park with fountain on the Dharmarth Trust land adjoining to Historical Shree Ranbireshwar ji Temple, Shalamar Road, Jammu in larger interests of the devotees, who visit the temple and residents of the area.
The land otherwise, was being used for dumping of garbage by some residents of the locality.
He said this good decision of providing ecological environment to Jammuites was taken himself by Chairman Trustee, Maharaja Karan Singh Ji and, therefore, there should have been no hindrance in its implementation as the Park is going to benefit all people of Jammu in general and residents of the area in particular. Further, he said before execution of the Plan, it was widely given in the press.
Thakur Divakar Singh asked Sanatan Dharam Sabha members to remove any apprehensions, the Trust is not encroaching upon land of the Sanatan Dharam Sabha but is only constructing beautiful park on its own land
He also asked the senior members of the Sanatan Dharam Sabha to recall that a piece of land attached with Shree Ranbireshwer Ji temple was leased out to Sanatan Dharma Sabha, by the then President Dharmarth Trust Thakur Gandhara Singh on April 16, 1964 for a period of 99 years, on rent basis with effect from August 24, 1956 at the rate of Rs. 10 per annum.
The lease deed was got registered under the instructions of chairman trustee, J&K Dharmarth Trust, Karan Singh Ji .
The possession of the said land was taken over by Isher Dass Khanna , the then president Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Jammu for taking up generous activities by Sanatan Dharam Sabha.
Now, the present executive body of the Sabha should be thankful to Karan Singh rather than criticizing his public welfare-oriented works, said Thakur Divakur Singh
