| Rainbow School locks horns with BSF in football final | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 08: Rainbow School shall face the formidable side of BSF School Paloura in the final of the ongoing inter-school under-15 year football tournament for Mir Iqbal Hussain Coca Cola Trophy, organised by Jammu wing of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA), at GGM Science College ground, here.
Earlier, in the semi-finals, played today, BSF School registered a 2-0 win against Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Nagrota. Parveen and Koushal were the scorers, who netted the ball in the 33rd and 43rd minute of the match respectively.
Meanwhile, in the second semi-final, played in the afternoon session, Rainbow School outplayed the Police Public School by an identical margin of two goals to nil. Ravi Bahadur Rana helped Police Public School take lead in the 20th minute. Later, in the second half, Atul Mehra further improved the score by netting the ball in 45th minute of the match.
The organizers are yet to finalise the date for the final match of the tournament. The final shall be followed by the prize distribution function.
It is pertinent to mention here that a team from winners of the final and those from Kashmir wing will be selected by the JKFA for national level competition for the Coca Cola Trophy to be held in near future.
Today’s semi-finals were officiated by Rajesh, Tushar, Pankaj and Moon Stephen.
