| Agriculture deptt organizes farmers’ field school | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 9:To acquaint farmers with the latest techniques in farming, a farmers’ field school was organized at village Ardan and Dhadda in Zone Chowki Chora in Akhnoor tehsil.
The farmers were educated about seed treatment for Rabi crops.
They were exhorted upon to take preventive measures to keep away their crops from insect-pest and diseases besides also to adopt integrated pest management techniques. The participating farmers showed keen interest in the farmers’ field school. Zonal Agriculture Officer Anil Rawal, JAEO Banerjee Kaul, Sarpanch, Panchs and large number of farmers attended the camp.
