HC stays the ‘controversial recruitment policy’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Nov09: J&K High Court Jammu Wing in a much controversial employment policy of the State Govt in which the monthly salary of an employee will get only Rs 3800/- against 12400/- ordered kept in abeyance. Justice Hasnain Massodi of J&K High Court Jammu Wing responding to petition filed by petitioner Ranbir Singh challenging the Govt order No 257-F of 2011 dtd October 27, 2011 in which Adv Pranav Kohli appeared for the petitioner and submitted that Govt has decided to make future recruitment in fixed salary mode in favour of class IV, Class III and other non-gazetted posts after November 1, 2011 for initial period of five years of Service are get fixed monthly salary. Justice Massodi after hearing Adv Pranav Kohli appearing for the petitioner issued notice to State of Jammu & Kashmir through Chief Secretary, Commissioner/Secretary Finance and Principal Secretary GAD. Deputy AG Mr. BR Chandan appeared vice Mr. MI Qadiri Advocate General accepted post-admission notice on behalf of all the respondents and admitted the petition to hearing with the direction that counter affidavit within three weeks rejoinder within one weeks thereafter and further observed that Court is satisfied that the petitioner on the strength of the averments made in the petition, carved out a case for ad-interim injunction. So order impugned No 257-F of 2011 dated October 27, 2011 shall remain in abeyance till objections are filed and considered. It is worthwhile to mention here that the Stayed High Court at Srinagar has also stayed this order on last Saturday.
