| PDP protests against failures of ‘NC led coalition’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Banihal, Nov 9: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today said that present dispensation headed by Omar Abdullah has lost faith of the people because this regime has failed to give justice to the common masses.
Raising anti govt slogans the protest rally started from main Chowk of Banihal, passed through different markets and culminated at Jammu-Srinagar Highway where the protestors blocked highway for some time as mark of their protest and to give vent to their ire against government.
Addressing a protest demonstration organized by the Banihal zone of party against rampant corruption in the NC and State Government, PDP leaders said that that one and only noticeable achievement of the present dispensation was legalizing corruption. They said that during the last three years Omar led regime has crossed all limits of corruption and specifically mentioned the gruesome murder of NC worker Haji Yosuf that has exposed what has been going in this government as well as in the ruling party. They regretted that instead of properly investigating the matter to give justice to the bereaved family the NC led government is adopting all means to hide the case. Referring to political corruption, they said that how common people can expect justice and fairness from that party which has been indulged in such corrupt practices. Abdul Ahad Wani, Farooq Mir, Shoukat Daing, Imtiyaz Khandey, and others also addressed the protestors.
