| Jan inaugurates 25mtr. span foot bridge at Chanu Wala Loran | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Poonch Nov 9: MLA Poonch Ajaz Jan inaugurated a footbridge over Chanu Wala at village Loran.
The Bridge was thrown open for public use thereby conceding a long pending demand of the residents of twin villages at Chanu Wala Ari Gam Loran
The connectivity between the two largest villages of Mandi Block has come as a bigger respite for the residents who had all the praises for the legislator for speedy completion of project in a record time.
The Bridge has been constructed by public works Deptt. at a cost of Rs. 19.Lakhs. MLA during his address had all the appreciations for Xen Kar, AEE Layqat Ali & Bishrat JEE for the quality work of footbridge and that too in a record time.
He lauded the role of PWD for coming up to the aspirations of general public.
He also inspected the ongoing works under MNREGA and constituency development funds of MLA and listened to the public deputations on spot.
Directions were issued to Block Development Officer Mandi. Dubay for executing & implementing MNREGA in its true spirit so that the living standard of people in this far flung area could be raised.
He also issued directions for convergence of CD funds & MNREGA so that durable assets could be generated without disturbing the 60:40 ratio under MNREGA.
He directed the officers/officials of other departments to work on project approach in convergence with MNREGA which is undoubtedly the life line of people in J & K where there is no other scope for employment for worker.
An open durbar of the locals was also held there and Brachar Pyt.
In the durbar, they highlighted the problems being faced by them in the day to day matters.
He gave them a patient hearing and assured them to take up the matters at the appropriate levels of the government.
On a specific query about the non existence of the Panchayat ghar in Kharapa Loran panchayat of the area, he instructed the Block Development Officer Mandi to take up the Panchayat Ghar in the panchayat after observing all the codal formalities.
He also directed him to organize Awareness Camps and Training programs for the newly elected representatives of the Panchayati Raj Institutions.
During the public meet directions were issued to various departments to come up with people friendly policies and launch single window clearance procedures in routine works. Jan assured the public that the policies of Govt. led by Omar Abdullah are clear out and the thrust is on welfare of public and a common man who is not heard at various levels. Jan concluded the function expressing his sincere gratitude to various Line Deptts and administration of Poonch in discharge of their official duties.
