'Nobody can be too mature ……my govt works collectively' | It is humanly act to condole demise of Geelani's kin: CM | | Jammu: The Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said it was only humanly act if some quarters in PHQ have expressed sympathies and condolences with separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani on the demise of his brother the other day. "I don not find anything wrong in it…just because he is a separatist leader doesn't mean that one cannot express condolences on loss of his brother……it is in the fitness of things…..", Omar said while replying to a query. Moreover, Geelani has remained apart of the mainstream politics …we cannot forget he is an ex MLA too, he added. In reply to another query the Chief Minister said the "single biggest contribution of my team to the state has been the conduct of Panchayat elections last year",. "It has been empowering people and it has nothing to do with the magazines I featured in. I find it almost disrespectful on your (media's) part that you (media-persons) talk about how I dress and how I look. It has nothing to do with how I work. When a scribe asked him if he thought he was mature enough to handle a state like J&K, Omar said sarcastically, "I hope to get mature soon…..nobody can be too mature to handle any state alone……I cannot do anything alone …the government is always collective and works collectively". |
