‘Ration Depot’ performed in Friday Series | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 11:In its another attempt to carry forward its ritual of Friday theatre series Nav Durga Kala Manch today performed ‘Ration Depot’ – a play based on the corrupt manoeuvring of the politicians who camouflage their public address to make the gullible people believe of their decorated statements, only later to fall prey to the same. Today’s story also ran on the same pattern where in a village a minister addresses the general public assuring them that their monthly ration would be provided to them at the government ration depot as per the new government order. This brings joyous mood for celebrations in the village as along with others; the two simpletons too reach the ration dept and queue up in the line for a wait of their turn to get the ration. In the wait they ultimately come to know that the villagers were once again befooled by the minister as there was no provision given by the government to provide any ration to the people. Saurav Verma and Deepak Jamwal played the role of two simpletons be fooled by the minister. Both gave a scintillating performance of a maturity. The play was directed by Tarun Sudershan Vasson. The play was presented under the aegis of Aaditya Bhanu under whose concept of Friday series many upcoming artists are proving their worth
