Centre must take up security of Pak Hindus: VHP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 11:Expressing its serious concern over the recent killing of three Hindus in Sindh province of Pakistan, the Vishaw Hindu Parishad (VHP) today asked the Indian government to raise the issue of security of the minority Hindus with its counterparts in Islamabad. "We demand protection of minority Hindus in Pakistan where they have been subjected to repeated attacks. The human rights organisations across the world and the Indian government should seek an explanation from Pakistan Prime Minsiter about the repeated killings, massacres and conversions of minority Hindus," VHP president Ramakant Dubey told reporters here. The Pakistan government should hold a probe and arrest the accused involved in the massacre of three Hindu doctors at Shikarpur district, he demanded. Dubey welcomed the US administration's statement that have "rightly highlighted the atrocities being done against the minority Hindus there since the formation of Pakistan in 1947". The VHP leader also criticised Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for not raising the issue with his Pakistan counterpart Yusuf Raza Gilani at the ongoing SAARC conference. According to the Liaquat–Nehru Pact, both the neighbouring countries have guaranteed the rights of minorities, he said. "It is shameful that none of the human right bodies both at national and international level have ever raised an eyebrow against the atrocities on Hindus in Pakistan," he said.
