National Edu Day observed across the state

Jammu, November 11– National Education Day was celebrated at Government Middle School, Majheen (zone Gandhi Nagar) to recall the contribution and services of India’s first Education Minister, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.
On the occasion, Head Master of the school, Mr. R. K. Uppal and staff members apprised the students about the contribution of Maulana Abul Kamal Azad. He laid emphasis particularly on the education of rural poor girl students.
A rally was organized which passed through the lanes of village Majheen.
At Ramban, all the educational institutions of the district celebrated the Education Day.
At district headquarter Ramban, students of various educational institutions participated and a district level debate competition was held at Higher Secondary School, Ramban under the chairmanship of Chief Education Officer, Ramban. Thirteen students of various educational institutions of district Ramban threw light on the life of the renowned personality and educationist Moulana Abdul Kalam.
Miss Quartul-ul-an-Malik student of 11th class of HSS Ramban, Rekha Devi student of same class of HSS Ramban and Sheela Devi of 11thstandard of HSS, Ramban bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize in debate competition respectively and prizes were awarded to winners and consolation prizes among the participants.
Principals, staff members and large number of students were present on the occasion.
The Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Rajouri today celebrated “National Education Day” to commemorate the birth anniversary of first education Minister of India, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.
On the occasion, a programme was conducted in which students from 13 schools of the district participated.
As part of National Education Day to mark birth anniversary of first education Minister of India Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad, Government Girls High School Katra organized an education awarness rally here today.
The Rally was flagged off by SDPO Katra Mr. P.N Tikoo who was Chief Guest on the occasion.
Addressing the students, Chief Guest threw light on the working of the first education Minister in the filed of education.
