| Promotion of Food Inspectors | | |
Srinagar, July 31 – In reply to a question by Dr. Chaman Lal Baghat, the Minister for Transport Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma on behalf of Chief Minister told Legislative Assembly today that the Drug and Food Control organization was bifurcated from Directorate of Health Serves during October 1987 and 16 posts of Drug Inspectors and 106 posts of Food Inspectors among other posts were transferred to the organization. Both the categories are eligible for promotion to the posts of Assistant Controller Drugs/Assistant Drug Analyst and Assistant Controller PFA, Deputy Controller and Controller Drug and Food Organization as per J&K Drugs and Food Control (Gazetted) Service Recruitment Rules 1997.5 number of Sr. Food Inspectors have been promoted over a period of time as Assistant Controller PFA in OPG and 2 Nos of Food Inspectors were promoted as Sr. Food Inspectors. |
