| GDC RS Pura organises essay writing competition | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 11:An essay writing contest was organized in Government Degree College, R S Pura on the topic "Maulana Abul Kalam Azad's contribution to the cause of education in India" to commemorate the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad in the form of National Education Day.
Recalling the invaluable and indelible contributions of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad in the field of education, the Principal Prof Anita Sudan said that Maulana Abul Kalam Azad is one of those rare personalities through whom the distinctions of twentieth century can be recognised and the possibilities of twenty-first century are determined. The students who emerge as the winners in the competition were Sapna Kaith of Part III who bagged first position, Shanker Bhagat of Part-II got second rank and Arti Chowdhary of Part-II was adjudged third while the consolation prize went to Gaurav Gupta of Part-II.
