| Congress passses resolution, hailing new Roshni Scheme, efforts of Azad to eradicate | | | Jammu 07, 2007-
Jammu Kashmir Pardesh Congress Committee today passed
resolutions hailing new Roshani Scheme, Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad’s
sincere efforts to eradicate corruption and Dr. Manmohan Singh led central UPA
Government and Government of J&K led by Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad for taking steps to
develop good relations with Pakistan and working for lasting peace in the sub
continent and the state.
An extra ordinary meeting of office bearers of JKPCC was held here today under
the chairmanship of Senior Vice President JKPCC and MLC Mr. Abdul Gani Vakil.
Others who participated in the meeting included PCC general Secretaries Thakur
Balbir Singh, Mr. Vinod Sharma, Mrs. Ameern Badar, Mrs. Khemlata Wakloo, Mr.
Nazir Ahmed and Pardish Youth Congress President Mohammad Amin Bhat, Chief
Seva Dal J&K Mr. Balvandir Singh Samibiyal, where the resolutions to this effect
were passed.
The meeting in a resolution hailed new Roshani Scheme approved by the
Government and described it another historical decision taken by the Chief Minister
Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad. The meeting said the highest beneficiaries of the new
Roshani Scheme would be farmers as they will now get propriety rights on the land
used for agricultural purposes. It was also hailed that Khacharies Land, forest Land,
land under wakaf, land in possession of refugees have been kept out the provisions of
new Roshani Scheme.
In the second resolution JKPCC hailed central government headed by Prime
Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and state government headed by Chief Minister Mr.
Ghulam Nabi Azad for their sincere efforts in developing good relationship with
Pakistan and by these efforts lasting peace would emerge and all issues would be
settled amicably.
The meeting considered Foreigner Minister’s visit to Pakistan in the near future
has a mile stone and wished its success.
In another resolution Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad was praised for his
sincere efforts for eradicating corruption and appeal was made to people of all section
of society to give wholehearted support to Mr. Azad in this regard so that corruption
in the state at all levels will be uprooted.
