| Bail plea of alleged rapist rejected | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Nov 12: Principal Sessions Judge Jammu rejected the bail plea of one Sikander who allegedly is involved in a kidnapping and raping of a minor girl.
Principal Sessions Judge Jammu Jang Bhadur Singh Jamwal rejected the bail application of Sikander s/o Anthony @ Billa r/o H No 350, Old Rehari, Jammu who allegedly kidnapped and raped a minor girl.
Principal Sessions Judge Jammu after hearing PP Shabir Choudhary for the State and Adv Pardeep Gupta for the petitioner observed that petitioner has been chargesheeted U/Ss 363/376 RPC and the statements of two prosecution witnesses are recorded and the statement of the prosecutrix is yet to be recorded. Accordingly, court observes that the petitioner has not made out a good ground for grant of bail in his favour at this stage. Accordingly, the bail application of the petitioner is rejected.
