JAMMU, Nov 12: A 13-member state shooting team today left for participation in the
55th National Shooting competition in Small Bore Rifle and Pistol events to be held at Balewadi Shooting Ranges in Pune from November 14.
Working president of the J&K Rifle Association, IGP Jammu, Dilbag Singh flagged off the team. Group Commander NCC, Jammu AS Chandhoke and Principal Delhi Public School, Sudershan Sonar were among others prominent present.
“Teams from across the country including Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Chandigarh as also other affiliated units of the National Rifle Association of India are participating in this competition,” joint secretary of the Association, Sharat Chander Singh told SAN.
Rajesh Virdhy of Jammu and Kashmir Police is accompanying the team as coach.
The Team: Surjeet Singh, Raghav Bakshi, Sandeep Bandral, Ritika Sharma, Mohan Lal, Vijay Kumar (both from J&K Police), Sahil Sharma, Swati Mishra, Tejaswi Singh, Matish, Dikipa Singh, Gian Singh, Harshdeep Singh.
