| JMC continues anti encroachment drive | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Nov 12: Under instructions from S.C Sawhney Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Jammu, the enforcement Staff led by the Chief Enforcement Officer alongwith police force carried out the drive to clear the footpaths / pavements and part of road sides etc in the areas of Bikarm Chowk, PulPar etc. During the drive the team removed the reharies which were kept stationary / plying without Reharie license in these areas and causing inconvenience to the pedestrians and obstructing the free flow of vehicular Traffic. The team also seized the goods /articles like Weighing scales, Utensils, Drums, Crates, Umbrellas, Counters etc which were placed by the Reheri vendors on the footpaths, pavements and parts of roads in these areas and demolished the tandoors installed upon footpaths by the reheri vendors.
Besides this, the team demolished the unauthoriozed ongoing construction of shop at Gandhi Nagar and also removed the hoardings / banners, boards from the Poles / Public Places errected by different Agencies without permission at Trikuta Nagar area.
