Bear rescued by Wildlife department in Bhaderwah | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Nov 12:Team of Wildlife department Kishtwar headed by DFO Wild Life Kishtwar on Saturday rescued two year old bear in Shamtra village of Dadgi Panchyat of Bhaderwah some 195 Kms from Jammu. While divulging the details, DFO Wildlife Kishtwar Abdul Rashid Malik said that after receiving the information about trapping of bear in a pound on Friday evening, a team a wildlife officials from Kishtwar and Doda rush to the spot and started rescue operation, Malik said that after failure of first attempt to rescue the wild animal on Friday since the medicine used for tranquilization didn’t work. He said that in the morning a team of officials from Jammu was also called in, beside heavy dose of sedatives were used for tranquilization of the bear. He said that the wild animal was later safely pulled out of the pound. He said that the wild animal is about two year old and is in good condition. He said that after keeping the rescued animal for observation for few days, they will release in wild life century at Kishtwar.
