New job policy row | ABVP to hold maha dharna on Nov 25 | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 12:Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has strongly criticized the Chief Minister’s statement on anti-people and anti-youth recruitment policy. Addressing a joint press conference, ABVP J&K State Organizing Secretary Pawan Sharma, Udhampur City Secretary Aakash Verma and Udhampur District Convenor Lokbandhu said that ABVP has resolved to continue its ongoing movement till the revocation of policy. They further said that ABVP has decided to hold a maha dharna on November 25 at Jammu to compel the government to rethink on hurriedly decided black policy. Pawan Sharma said that CM’S statement showed clear frustration and it was due to the strong state wide movement of ABVP which compelled the CM to have rethinking on his decision. Sharma further said that it is unfortunate that, while the government is lavishly spending on the accommodation and other sops for the ministers and bureaucrats, it has no money for the educated youth to be appointed in the government departments with full wages. He further informed that ABVP’S first phase of movement concluded with its Chalo Secretariat March on November 9. Now as the matter is in the court so in 2nd phase, instead of boycotting the classes ABVP has decided to approach all the members of the Assembly, ministers and presidents of different political parties of the state and compel them to raise the issue in the assembly for revocation of this policy. He also informed that ABVP has also decided to mobilize people and students all over the state for stronger support. A memorandum will also be submitted to President of India Pratibha Devi Singh Patil. ABVP Udhampur city secretary Akash Verma Said that ABVP will fight tooth and nail till revocation of this anti-youth policy.
