KPC condemns killing of Hindus in Pak
‘Minorities in Pakistan are totally unsafe’
11/12/2011 11:36:58 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 12:Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) has expressed concern and annoyance over killing of four Hindu doctors in Sindh province of Pakistan.
In its executive meet today, the KPC members expressed shock over the killing of Dr Ashok, Dr Naresh, Dr Ajeet and Dr Satya Paul by the armed assailants in Pakistan while working in their clinics.
KPC national president Kundan Kashmiri and its secretary RL Raina stated that minorities in Pakistan are totally unsafe and have become prey of open terrorism and crime. This incident has exposed Pakistan where Hindus are described as eternal enemies of Islam and their culture and society are portrayed as unjust and cruel. KPC chief further said that if policy of hatred and intolerance against Hindus and other minorities in Pakistan would continue, there is likely-hood of rapid increase of violent religious extremism, weakening religious freedom, national regional stability and global security. He appealed Govt. of India to take up this issue with Pakistan to ensure the safety and security of Minorities in particular Hindus in Pakistan.
Commenting over the meeting of two prime ministers of India and Pakistan in SAARC summit in Maldiv, Kundan Kashmiri said that improving the relation with Pakistan in right move, but not at the cost of sovereignty and security of Indian nation and any nature of compromise over Kashmir would not be acceptable to the people of the country in general and Kashmiri Pandits in particular.
While reacting to the advocacy of revocation of partial AFSPA in the state by Chief minister Omar Abdullah, Kundan Kashmiri stated that it is neither feasible nor workable at this juncture to revoke AFSPA fully or partially as cross border terrorism continuous, local terrorists are not yet fully curbed and training camps continue to exist in POK where thousand are waiting to cross Kashmir valley.
