Jammu, Nov 12: Lambasting coalition regime led by National Conference
for its failure to accelerate developmental activities in the State
and to contain corruption, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today said
the the present regime has become non performing liability on the
people and common masses are facing hardship due to wrong policies of
this regime.
Addressing series of public meetings which were organized in
connection with the preparations of the protest demonstration of the
party on Nov 15, the PDP leaders said since its formation this
dispensation has been befooling the people through its deceiving
tactics.
Targeting the Omar led ruling regime, the PDP leaders that this regime
has exposed before the masses and there was no taker of the hallow
slogans of this dispensation.
They however regretted that instead of addressing basic problems of
the people, this government has been indulged into deceptive tactics
to befool the commoners.
Commenting upon the rampant corruption in the State, PDP leaders said
that instead of taking some effective steps to control corruption in
the administration this regime has legalized the corruption through
its actions. They pointed towards gruesome murder of NC worker Haji
Yosuf has exposed rampant corruption in the government as well as in
the ruling NC. They said that institutions meant for curbing
corruption have been deliberately made defunct by this regime.
They also lambasted the State Government for its failure to solve day
today problems of the common masses. They said that miseries of the
people have been increased manifold after formation of this regime
which was formed with out any programme and policy.
While pointing towards mounting problems of the common masses, they
said that government has even failed to provide ration to the people.
He further termed the present dispensation as one of the most corrupt
and anti-people regime of the State.
In connection with the preparations of the coming protest of the
party, series of meetings were held today. Besides the main meeting at
Party head office, a meeting of the party activists was held at Gole
Gujral and a Mahila Wing meeting was also organized to woo the common
masses for the protest rally against the Omar led coalition.
Prominent among those who addressed the meetings included Trilok Singh
Bajwa, Balbir Singh, Ved Mahajan, Daman Bhasin, Shanti Devi, Falail
Singh, R K Bali, Sushela Jamwal, Block and zone presidents of the
party.
