| GCW Parade organizes Quiz Competition | | |  EARLY TIMES RETPORT
Jammu, Nov 12: Career Counselling & Placement Cell of GCW Parade in collaboration with IIM Banglore organizes a Quiz Competition named “United Minds”.
The main objective of the event was to create awareness among students about Indian demographic divide and need of globally benchmarked education system to empower youth to shoulder India’s growth.
More than twenty team of the College participated in the event. Earlier Kiran Bakshi while encouraging the students told students that more than 100 millions people from India, the combined labour force of the Britian, France,Italy and Spain are projected to join the global force by 2020.
With the half population of India under 25 and national work force that is expected to account for national work force to account for 25% of the global force in 2020, India has great chance of becoming world most prolific talent providers.
She further said that this demographic dividend can be utilized only with a vibrant education system that empowers young Indian with knowledge to face global challenges. She appreciated the efforts of Career Counselling & Placement Cell for organizing such events. Prizes were also distributed among the students.
