| Jan holds Public Darbar at Sawijan, Bedar, Gagrian & Arai near LoC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Nov MLA Poonch Ajaz Jan had an extension tour of the villages near fencing line on LOC in Sawijan, Bedar, Kheat, Chamber Kanari, Dunnu Gam, Baloni & Arai Area of Mandi Block Poonch along with a team of district officers of all Line Departments including , ADDC Anwer Shah, XEN R&B, XEN PDD, TSO CAPD Mandi & Chief Horticulture Officer Poonch, all the concern AEE, JE’s & SHO Mandi, Sawijan.
The MLA during his visit laid Sub Centre foundation stone at Village Arai which will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 30 lakhs and also laid foundation of Pvt Ghar at Arai Haveli at an estimate cost of 18 lacks
The main aim of the tour at Border Area along with a team of all district officers was to reach out to the people for the redressal of their grievances at their door steps .
In this attempt to do the same a darbar was also organized by the MLA at Sawijan, Bedar, Kheat, Chamber Kanari, Dunnu Gam, Baloni & Arai for on spot approvals and removal of technical/clerical flaws in the files pending with them.
The MLA also interacted with the newly elected panchayat sarpanches and panches and advised them to be bridges between the govt on common masses and help the deptts in executing various developmental schemes.
The outcome of such darbar was an immediate sanctioning of 63 KV transformer for Arai and an assurance was sought XEN PDD to do the same in a months time.
Directions were issued to AEE, R&B for strict compliance. He also sanctioned six pumps for Sawijan, Bedar, Kheat, Chamber Kanari road side, & Arai village as an immediate relief and directed XEN, PHE to float proposal for lift scheme for drinking water on top priority.
TSO food and Supplies was directed to facilitate the opening of new depots on Zero Line and redress the grievances.
Also the matter regarding migrant families in Border area was discussed where MLA apprised the public that the matter was taken up with ministry of Home Affairs in New Delhi after the hectic efforts of Minister of Rural Development Ali Mohd Sagar his proposal for providing financial assistance to BPL families on IAY pattern has been accepted and lying with the Rural Development Department Poonch for finalization. BDO, Mandi Rakesh Dubay was directed to come with a list of all BPL migrants in five days for further process.
A large no of PDP leaders of Arai joined NC including Mohd Bashir Khan, Gh Rasool Parrey Naib Sarpanch, Ch Ghulam Hussain, Mohd Afzal Mait & Ch Mohd Khurshid Khan in presence of MLA Poonch and expressed their satisfaction in policies of coalition govt led by Omar Abdullah.
MLA while speaking on the occasion welcomed by the legislator in the party fold and MLA further added that national conference has always stood for secularism n development of all the three regions of state without any prejudices
